1. Medical Director

This is a job title that can only be held by someone who holds an actual PhD in the field in which they’ll be working. A chief scientist will be in charge of leading research on any project that requires their services. This can be everything from an in-depth environmental study to the development of a new drug. This is a profession that carries as much responsibility as it does prestige.
Astrophysicists are scientists who deal with both the physics and chemistry involved with space and time. This is an incredibly deep field, and one that requires that only experts be involved. Most college professors are required to hold either a PhD, or several years of experience in a particular field with their Master’s degree. This allows them to accurately pass their knowledge along to the future college graduates.
A college dean of President will almost always hold their PhD in order to hold this position of respect within their university.
